Coach McNany is a lifelong athlete with a highly competitive spirit. Growing up as the youngest in a family of 5 kids, she developed a love of playing and watching all sports from an early age. As an athlete, she played competitive basketball for over 12 years. In high school, she expanded her athletic career to volleyball and track and field. As a volleyball player, she primarily played setter, outside hitter, and defensive specialist. In track and field, she ran every event from the 100 meter sprint to the 800 meter as well as field events including long jump, triple jump, and shotput.
At the University of Scranton, Coach McNany earned a bachelor of science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She missed the competitive sports of her youth and sought out club and intramural sports to fill the void. As a freshmen, she joined the ultimate frisbee co-ed club team and played for four years. After college, Coach McNany has maintained her love of competition, sports, and fitness by entering the world of Crossfit and running from 5Ks to half marathons and even a few Tough Mudders.
Coach McNany is in her thirteenth year of teaching and third in Millburn Public Schools. She has been an active member of the Girls on the Run program including starting the program and running alongside her students in Jersey City and Somerville. She loves working with young athletes to foster healthy habits, positive relationships, and self-confidence.
Coach Cunningham has been passionate about sports and staying active for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she loved playing basketball, softball, tennis, and soccer, and even learned how to Irish dance. In college, she joined the club rugby team, which continued to teach her the value of teamwork, resilience, and pushing herself outside of her comfort zone by trying a new sport. While she enjoys a variety of activities, softball has always held a special place in her heart, and she still loves playing today in adult leagues.
Coach Cunningham has always been open to trying new sports and staying active—whether it’s learning how to play pickleball, going for a hike, enjoying a round of paddle ball with her sisters at the beach or going bowling with friends. She believes staying active is not only important for fitness but also for building confidence, having fun, and connecting with others!
Coach Stearns has been a physical education and health teacher for the past 12 years. He has coached basketball for 9 years as both the Head Freshman coach, and Varsity assistant. He has run many basketball camps that focus on honing young basketball players skills. Coach Stearns has a passion for inspiring young athletes to be their most confident selves both on the court and off.
Coach Stearns also has a passion for Tennis and was able to be an assistant coach for the Boys Varsity Tennis team. Having been a lifelong tennis player I was able to take my passion for the game and turn-key that knowledge and enjoyment to young players.
For fun Coach Stearns loves to play Tennis, Softball, and Basketball with his friends, but most of all he loves to go Camping with his family.
Coach Hogan has started her teaching career in 2014 in Millburn. During this time she was a Freshmen and Junior Varsity coach for the Millburn girls High School soccer team. Additionally she has coached for Millburn Soccer Club and also has taken on club coaching with a specialty in Goal Keeping. Hailey has continued her coaching career in New Providence, coaching Varsity assistant for girls lacrosse and Boys Freshmen soccer.
Hailey's way to make authentic connections with student-athletes stems from her genuine enthusiasm for their growth both on and off the field. She takes the time to understand each player’s unique strengths, challenges, and motivations, creating an environment where athletes feel valued and supported. Her approachable demeanor, combined with her ability to balance high expectations with encouragement, fosters trust and respect—helping her teams develop not only as skilled players but also as confident, resilient individuals.
For fun, Hailey loves spending time boating and hiking with her family and has found a new love for sky-diving and rock climbing.
